| I have lived at Stoney Falls for 1 1/2 years.I renewed my lease due to a pre-existing roommate relationship that I didn't want to disturb. Here are some of the negative things about Stoney Falls: - The electric bills are quite high compared to similarapartments.I think it is due to the utility company,Blue Grass Energy, that supplies the electricity.Forinstance, my two bedroom apartment costed $215 to heatfor March.I am single and don't use electricityexcessively. - The cable company Satstar Cable costs $39 a month andthe channels that they supply totally suck. And, manytimes, they don't work right. For instance, A&E doesn'thave sound half the time. The apartment managementgets a kickback from them or something..they have anagreement. - The units have sliding door closets instead of walk-ins.They are not nice at all. - The kitchen cabinets are made out of cheap fiberboardthat blisters up when it gets wet. They are totallycheap and the drawers in the cabinet fall apart easily. - Very small bathtubs. Fine if you are small and/or don'tlike to use the tub for soaking. The apartment had decent carpet when I moved in and the walls were painted, so I can't complain about them. The apartment also had decent appliances, and washer/dryer rental isn't awful. The fireplace would be nice for someone who uses them, but I don't. The people in the office are fairly nice, but they operate on strict policies. Don't expect any leniency on any policies. They will evict you if you have a pet in your apartment without paying the deposit, and threaten people with eviction for breaking other minor rules such as the pool policies. I haven't lived in another apartment complex so I might be unfair in some of these comments, but you may want to consider these points. |
