| I lived at the Resort at Lake Crossing for 2 years.Overall, it was a very poor experience.Although I have many complaints, the biggest are as follows: 1.Management - Between my husband and myself, we have lived in 4 prior apartments, each as nice or nicer than The Resort. All were better managed than the Resort. The Resort lost my rent check twice.I was charged a $35 late fee both times.Residents are notified by late fees within an hour of the due date with a very rude letter threatening eviction. The manager waived the late fee after I questioned the first time. But the second time, the manager was very rude and made excuses saying the computer automatically charged late fees, and therefore she could do nothing. 2. Management (again) - We received our full deposits back from all 4 of our previous apartments. However, the Resort not only kept my deposit, but charged me $110 in cleaning fees, even though I cleaned the apartment.I received a rude letter threatening to turn over the fee to a collection agency only 1 week after the first notice. The manager nor the manager's supervisor would listen to my arguments. 3.Management (again) - I can't even remember how many times the manager has been rude to me directly or sent rude memos out to the whole apartment complex. 4.Noise - I could hear EVERY INTIMATE DETAIL of the lives of my neighbors below me. |
