Apartment Review
From The Outside Looking In
Review Date: 4/3/2010

I write this as a distant (re)view(er). An observer if you will. I've read the reviews and think a little deeper comment needs to be made from one who has lived in a few apartment complexes and dealt with a variety of managers. Not too long ago I resided in a complex within my vision of Bradford Apartments. The first thing that struck me about Bradford was the landscaping and how well maintained the outside appearance was kept. Very pleasing to the eye. I defy anyone to find a piece of trash lying on the ground anywhere. As one who walks briskly for exercise, I became acquainted with John Lee, the property manager, and Lonnie, the maintenance technician. These two men are very friendly and personable individuals. From my observation, John is not your typical manager. He is what I would call a "working manager." I've seen him working with Lonnie on maintenance issues, and I've even seen him up on ladders changing burned out lights on his buildings so as to make it safer at night for his residents, which by the way one of these lights would shine right through my bedroom window in the adjacent complex and keep me awake some nights. Thanks John. Just kidding. Well, the light did keep me awake, but he was just doing his job. In the summer the grounds are always mowed in a timely manner and in the winter both John and Lonnie are outside shoveling snow and de-icing the property for safety. I have even seen John return to work after hours several times a week to be there for his residents who work daytime hours so they could talk to him in person regarding any issues they had. Wow! How dedicated is that? You won't have to slip a piece of paper through a slot in a door or leave a message on the answering machine every time you need something. I've even known him to be there late at night helping Lonnie with maintenance issues. He doesn't have to do this. His job is just to see that it gets done, not to actually do it. But, there he is. Outstanding dedication again! And, it's all for you, the resident. I've never lived under such dedicated and caring management. You'll get a dedicated property manager who cares about his residents as individuals and how they live. I've had residents tell me because they thought I might be looking to rent, that their experience there has been a good one and that their needs have always been met and all problems were taken care of. You won't just have an apartment to live in, you'll have as good of a "home" as John can make it for you. It appears you're not just an apartment number, you're a human being, as I've seen John take the extra effort to get to know his residents by stopping while outside to actually carry on a conversation. I've heard him ask how they are doing and did they need anything. This property manager is there for you, the resident, and not to just to cash his paycheck. You wont just have an apartment to rent that includes utilities. And that my dear prospective tenant is priceless! I don't know what John gets paid for managing Bradford Apartments, but in my opinion he's not worth it..............he's worth much more!
