Apartment Review for Downing Place Townhouses - Lexington, KY

I would not live here even if rent was free. They show you an apartment that looks like its in good shape. Upon our move-in the apartment smelled of fresh paint for about 5 days. As soon as the paint smell left the scent of dog piss evolved apparently from where the tried to cover up the smell. These are not true "townhouses" when you have people above you or below and on the side. Not to mention the walls are thin and you hear everything. The maintence guys are horrible. We've been there 4 months, already had the roof ceiled 3X, ceiling is caving from the leaks, dishwasher replaced in the 1st week, carpet cleaned (or shall I say "deordorized 2X) no help, and the supervisors are lazy and unresponsive. Lots of college students in the area. Think again if you're looking for a place to acutally live in.
